Spiritual Services

➕ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, One God, Amen.

The St. Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Association in the Czech Republic is making every effort to ensure that the faithful stand firm in their faith, are built up in good deeds, and live preserving the order and tradition of the Church.

Because we are currently at the beginning stages of fully establishing our local parish church, we coordinate the spiritual services listed below in collaboration with the reverend fathers (priests), our community, and neighboring sister churches. In the future, by securing our own permanent place of worship, we strive to provide these services more broadly and permanently.

The Primary Services We Coordinate

  1. Divine Liturgy and Prayer: Guided by the reverend fathers, and by arranging venues, we coordinate programs so that the faithful can gather on major feast days and selected dates to participate in the Divine Liturgy (Qeddase), the prayer of the Covenant (Kidan), and other prayer services.
  2. Facilitating the Sacraments: In accordance with the order of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, we facilitate conditions by connecting the faithful with priests so they can partake in the sacraments of the Church (the Sacrament of Baptism, the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony/Teklil, and Holy Communion).
  3. Father Confessor (Spiritual Father): To ensure that every believer leads their spiritual life guided by a Father Confessor, is cleansed from sin through repentance, and receives spiritual counsel, we assist the faithful in finding Father Confessors by communicating with the clergy.
  4. Gospel Teaching and Sunday School: It is our prayer to establish a permanent Sunday school in the future so that children, teenagers, and the youth can learn the dogma and canon of the Church. At present, we organize various teaching and prayer forums so that the faithful may be edified by the word of God.

Current Service Schedules

As we are currently working to secure a permanent venue and regular schedule for daily/weekly services, we announce the dates of the Divine Liturgy, as well as the prayer and teaching programs (location and time), in advance on our website and social media pages. We urge you, in the name of God, to actively follow our updates.

Become a Member of the Association/Parish

To bring this endeavor to completion, permanently plant the St. Michael Church in the Czech Republic, and expand our spiritual services, the effort, prayer, and unity of us all are required. We ask you in the name of God to be a part of this holy purpose and contribute your spiritual share by becoming a member of our association.
